OverviewGet in the Game Box Stand Plans

This stand is big, comfortable, and sturdy. It might not be the most affordable stand you'll build, but it sure will be nice. I can picture lease buddies getting in heated debates over who gets to hunt out of this thing. It will really be nice for multiple hunters. If you have kids or a significant other who you want to take hunting, they'll be able to curl up on the floor of this thing and sleep until you wake them up to take the shot (and then they can go back to sleep while you dress the kill). Heck, with a few modifications you could turn this thing into your camp as well and just spend the whole hunting trip hanging out in this thing.

The Construction

The base is made out of heavy duty pressure treated 6x6 posts. It's put together with 5" lag bolts and uses 2x4s for braces. The walls are made out of aluminum to keep the stand light-weight and portable. The height of the shooting window is easily customizable and that information is included in the instructions. The roof is 4 sheets of 4x10 tin which allows for a good bit of overhang for extra protection from rain/snow.

Putting It All Together

The size of this thing keeps you from being able to haul it in the bed of a pickup, so you'll need a trailer. Once you get to your site, make sure your base is on level ground (as always) and start positioning the walls. It shouldn't take long to put together once you get all the pieces out in the field.

All-in-all this looks like a great stand and I'm eager to hear from someone who has put one together and used it in the field for a while.
